As this system was stopped to be considered by WD long time ago and then support was discontinued, I wonder if someone from the community has compiled/upgraded some Linux packages to support latest version and most important, solve relevant CVEs (vulnerabilities), so we can keep barely maintained them.
In my case last disappointment has been to confirm Time Machine over SAMBA (much faster, reliable than via AFP) does not work as the package Version is 4.0.9
