When I perform the task on Windows 10 Desktop an error message is received each time. OXC0000142 Click to Close Application. The message appears, then disappears quickly and my computer performs the restart or shutdown. Microsoft said I should check to see if the drive is compatible with Windows 10, which it is as have had since 2017. The drive has been uninstalled and reinstalled. This message only started within the last 6 months. Microsoft is unable to help any further. Is there another task required to close the external drive as I usually leave it plugged into the computer. If I have to remove, I always use Safely Remove Hardware. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
