E-mail error message from EX2

I’m getting intermittent warning e-mails from my WD MyCloud EX2 NAS:

Following events are generated on your WDMyCloudEX2 .
Event title:Network Link Down
Event description:The network link is down or has become intermittent. Check your network connection.
Event code:1002
Event time:12-13-2015 11:57:02 AM
Firmware version: 2.10.310

My system is a Netgear R7000 gigabit AC router connected to the EX2 via a Netgear gigabit GS16 switch (all ethernet connections.

I have an identical system at another location and never get these messages. Is this my network or my ISP?



Are you using the drive with a static IP or DHCP? if is DHCP, try using the unit with a static IP to see if that improves the connectivity.

I have it on a reserved address.

Why would there be a connectivity problem with wired ethernet?
(that would be corrected with a static IP address)?
