Dynamic drive - spanned volume firmware updates

Hey there, I have two 1TB SN850X drives. My hope is to turn this into a dynamic drive using windows 11 built in disk management.

I know that if I do this, and one drive dies I lose all data. This will only house Steam games that I can redownload, I believe saved games are synced and also saved on C. I want to have this in a spanned volume so that I can just drop games onto the spanned drive, without having to think about having 20% of each drive is free at all times to avoid degradation and slow down.

I download and install a lot of games, and hate having to figure which drive is the ideal drive, to download based on space of each one of those two 1TB

TLDR: My only question is, has anyone tried this, and am I still able to update firmware for two spanned volumes as usual without causing unforeseen issues?

Edit
My C drive is a basic drive, and will be kept as such. The spanned drive
