Hi,
I received a used DX4000 and I’m having trouble getting it up and running.
First of all, thanks for the tons of posts here and all the info available!
I have followed the “Step 2: Recreate my storage” with two sets of WD drives.
The first set were 4 2.0TB drives (WD Enterprise Storage)
The second set were 4 4.0TB drives (WD Enterprise Storage)
In both cases, the initialization completes and the re-creation starts … but it always ends with “Recreate Storage Failed”.
The end of the log file always looks like this:
(Note: I’m not sure how to set the date properly on the DX4000 – I had guessed that would be fixed once the drives are properly setup):

Any suggestions to get this up and running would be much appreciated.
[Edit/Update] : I went ahead and booted the “Recovery” USB stick (3rd option), and this time the PC was able to detect the DX4000 and it is now “resetting your server to the factory default settings…”
(Fingers crossed … )
Thanks!
