MyPassport Ultra 4tb here, it suddenly stopped working recently. I plug it in to my laptop, it will be recognized but it will crash windows explorer if i try to open a folder. It then makes a beep (i dont think its a mechanical click) and is ejected. I can repeat this every time I plug it in. Is the enclosure going bad or…?
Changing computers yields the same results
Did you resolve this? Mine started to do the same thing recently. At the very least I want to recover the files from it.
