Can I download raw video on to my Passport Essentials [SmartWare] 500Gb WD external hard drive from my Sony dcr-hc62 minidv video camera? Or do I have to download it into a computer first and then into the external???
You should be able to download the data directly to your Passport drive, if the camera comes with the ability to see the drive and copy data to it. Otherwise, it’s first by computer (because the computer can recognize the drive - if drivers are installed - and copy the data off the camera), then to the Passport.
