Hi, i bought a new WD my passport essential, external Hard disk, later i planned to remove the enclosure and replace my non working laptop internal hard disk, but the hard disk inside the WD looks totally different, i want to know , is it possible to convert it as SATA, need help immediately. thanks in advance
I don’t think so, recent Passports are using native USB controllers. And even if it doesn’t have a native USB controller, it will still hold the physical encryption system that doesn’t let it work like that.
