I need a NAS with torrent downloading, and consider to buy a Qnap NAS or a MyBook Live. With the Feature Pack to MyBook Live it is posible to get Transmission on it. But will it work as well, as transmission does on Qnap?
In a word Yes, you can use Feature Pack Manager to install Transmission and use it without the need of a PC. But keep in mind that the Transmission version that is running on MyBookLive is a very stripped one. For example it does not support private trackers or as far as I know, it doesn’t have support for RSS feeds. If the QNAP Transmission is not any different, you’d better buy the cheap one.
