Does the My Cloud use the internet on home network?

When I stream a movie to a DLNA device in my home network is the device actually using the internet?

Ive noticed that when I stream a movie to my blu ray player my internet slows down, ALOT.

Are fixes for this ?

No.

Are you sure it’s your INTERNET that’s slowing down, and not your own local (particularly WiFi) network?
