The My Cloud is a stand alone network attached storage device. To backup an entire hard drive partition on your computer you would need to use a backup program/software ON that computer that is capable of saving the backup to the My Cloud. Many third party backup programs will backup entire hard drive partitions. You may have to check the WD Smartware program included with the My Cloud or Apple’s TimeMachine to see either of those two programs can backup an entire partition rather than just the files on one computer.
