Does having My Cloud Home always on affect my bandwidth for other devices?

Any info appreciated.
Just set up my 3TB My Cloud Home drive and all works fine. Just wondered if having it on permanently means it is always using a chunk of my bandwidth?
Or does it only ever use bandwidth during file access and transfers?
We have fibre connection (here in UK) at about 100mbps. This is only ever about 70mbps max, but we have video streaming and file transfers as well as music streaming, Alexa Amazon and 3 cell phones connected in WiFi…so don’t want an always on cloud storage eating into bandwidth for everything else even when at dormant.

Likely not unless you let a friend download movie after movie.
