Do you have to eject external WD hardrive before turning off WD TV Play media player each time?!

Hello guys…

Sorry if this is a repeat post or even a stupid question but im wondering if i have to go through the hassle of ejecting the eternal hardrive i use for all my media. Can i just click stand by on the WD TV Play media player remote of does it have to be ejected before this?

Also im finding when i do this and dont eject the external harddrive stays flashing on my first generatin WD Media player it tunrned the hardrive off?!

Hello,

To turn the hard drive’s led off you can either eject the hard drive or turn the media player off and not just stand by. To turn it off you have to hold the power button for about 5 seconds.
