Disable HDMI audio for stereo audio

Hi I’m using HT audio with optical out. But I’m having problems with stereo 2 channel files. Audio coming from both surround system and TV. Muting TV is fixing the issue but there stays a mute icon on the screen and I don’t like that.

Is there a way to cancel the HDMI audio out??
