Difference between 2 types of cloud devices

I am confused about these two cloud devices as I am not been able to find out what are the actual differences between them?

WD My Cloud 4TB Personal Cloud Storage - NAS (WDBCTL0040HWT-NESN)
Western Digital 4 TB My Cloud Personal Storage (White, WDBCTL0040HWT-EESN)

Can anyone explain what is the difference between these two as they both seem to be same ?

Take a look at the end of both article numbers!

NESN is American version with 110 Volt power supply included
EESN is European version with 110 - 240 Volt power supply included

EESN can be used in 110 Volt power cirucits too (despite the fact that the power plug does not fit) but NESN would be highly dangerous to attach to 240 Volt power circuits.

Can I plug in my WD My Cloud that I purchased in the US into a European outlet? Or do I need to use a transformer? WDBCTL0040WHT-00

I would advise against it. That is a 110v power brick, and you would be attempting to put it on a 240v mains outlet. That would smoke that power brick like nobody’s business.

I would look for an appropriate replacement power brick for use overseas.
