Device Offline

I have been battling with this since I got my My Cloud drive.

When I am not in my home network I receive this message

"Device Offline:

This device is inaccessible: Only local files are available"

What is the fix for this? I had asked once before but the “remedy” did not work.

I am going away tomorrow for a week and would like to be able to access my media.

Any help is appreciated


I keep getting the same error for the last couple of weeks. I restart the drive and it works for a few days, but then I will get a time-out error on my windows PC or a Device Offline Error on my iPhone when trying to access the My Cloud remotely.
