Delete File In Smarware Folder

Can I safely delete all the files in the WDMYCLOUD/SmartWare folder?

If I do this will the SmartWare software recognize this deletion and then undertake a complete backup next time I run a SmartWare backup (with normal incremental backups thereafter)?

WD SmartWare may detect the backup has been manipulated and marked as corrupted. This is not recommended.
