Default Inactivity Timer Question

I have new MyBook Hard Drive
wdbfjk0020hbk-nesn

And would like to use it for backup on server without using WD Software. It will be formatted by Server.
Is any Hardware inactivity timer on it? If yes, how to disable it.

Hi there,

You can check the, drive utilities for the drive and i believe there is an option to disable the sleep timer, however if the computer does go to sleep the drive can also go to sleep at that moment. Let’s see if another user can share some information or tips on this matter.
