Data Transfer very slow to NAS

Hi,
can someone tell if if this sounds like things are slow ?
I seem to have a very slow Data transfer from my Laptop or desk top to my MYCMirror 2nd Gen. Example, today I transferred a 2.26Gb file from laptop to the NAS, it took over 7 minutes which i find very slow. Could this be down to my Router ( which is a new one ) ?
Both Laptop and NAS are attached by ethernet cable

I can’t help but we have been having the same issue here all week.

It could down to your router. I changed to a new broadband provider and a different router. Lucky though that I still had my old router which turns out to be better than the so called new one. I switched back to the old one and things have picked up to the better.
Example, transfered a file which was 5.3Gb to my NAS, it took less than 4 minutes where as with the so called new one it took over 7 minutes to transfer just 2.26 Gb.
