Thought I would post this info as like many others Dashboard would not detect my new SSD.On my setup the problem was caused by the Marvel 91xx SATA 6G Controller and by moving it to the Intel(R) ICH10 Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller the software now detects the drive.Even though the SSD on the Marvel controller is working fine as the main bootable OS drive Ive heard a lot of bad things about the Marvell.I havnt done any speed tests on the drive using the Marvel controller yet but a lot of people are saying keep the drive on there Intel SATA 2 controller as it performs faster.Anyway I shall do my own speed tests and make a decision but if you find your drive SSD is not been detected try moving it to a different controller.
