Daapd permission issue

I run macs which are on I hosx 10.7.5 and i have a my Book duo that when ever i create a new folder it comes up with

daapd        read & write

staff            read only

everyone   read only

How can i change this as when i click on staff / read only, and try to change it is tells me “The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have the necessary permission”

If i create a new folder on my desk top and drag it accross into the my book is stays as

daapd        read & write

staff            read & write

everyone  read & write

I would like to create folders within the my book that both my staff and myself can save into or add additional folders into. How do i change the permissions or get permission to change the sharing / permissions

Thanks for that but it seems to be more an issue with permissions on the “my Book”. It is only creating files within the “my book” that this issue is happining…

In this case, try to get the information out of the drive and try performing a factory restore.
