Critical Bug? Duplicate Folders

I experience problems with my My Cloud EX2 Ultra.

It seems as if the operation system can’t handle special characters (e.g. german umlauts) in folder names. All my folders with umlauts are duplicated with differing content. This is very annoying since macOS Sierra (10.12.6) shows only one folder, and it’s not even always the same one.

To move the content of one folder in the other folder is possible (on My Cloud), but even deleting one duplicate doesn’t help because another duplicate folder will be created some time after.

Does anyone experience this problem too? Is there a solution?

What firmware are you running on the unit?

Yes, resetting the unit doesn’t help.
I’m running on firmware: : 2.30.165
