JUst bought a MY Book 2TB drive with intention of cloning my existing hard drive using Arconis True Image WD Edition. However when running Arconis A warning appears that all data (including presumably factory installed WD software on the MY boo,k will be deleted as Arconis will reformat the drive. Is there a way to do this without loosing the WD back up and other software that come pre installed?
As far as I know the destination drive needs to be clean for Acronis to clone the drive.
You can backup the information on the USB drive and create another partition for that once the cloning process is done.
If you are trying to make the USB drive into a bootable drive I don’t think it will work. You can Image the drive if you wish to restore it at a later date.
