Corrupted Western Digital Disk, Disk Utility can’t repair this disk, Snow Leopard

I own a  My Book Studio Edition WDH1Q10000, I’m using Snow Leopard 10.6.2.

The hard drive became Corrupted suddenly, I couldn’t write files I was advised to move the files and format by Disk Utility. I did and it didn’t help,  apparently I’m not the only one, I updated the firmware and the Firewire TURBO drivers, nothing seems to work, please help me.

Have you back up all of your data yet?

Try as much as you can.

After that, connect it via USB cable please.

Go back to the Disk Utility.

Create a partition.

Format it with GUID or Apple file system.

Does it work?

If not, you need to contact WD tech support to get your drive replace.
