Correct Password not recognized

I’ve been using a My Passport for Mac for the last couple of years, and now it doesn’t recognize the password I’ve been using. I know I’m entering the correct password because I usually copy and paste it from another source.
Also, WD Discovery says it’s unlocked, and I’m pretty sure I enabled auto-unlock on my laptop, but I still get the “enter password” window, only to have it dismissed.
Has any of you come across this issue, and know what to do in this case?

I have the same situation and had contacted 3 times support… They are in a rush to get you off the phone or chat… Customer services out the window… Every time I leave my house when I come back I can’t assess the dash board to add or modify users… Why? can someone respond with a link that is accurate on how to fix this on a IOS?
