Constant scanning

Hi everybody,

I have had the WDMYCloud for one week. It was slow to transfer files but this is down to my router which is a 10/100Mbs.

Installed a gigabte ethernet switch and now dramatically faster.

However, I am experiencing the same apparent issues which have been reported in several posts. I am unwilling to use ssh even though I use linux as well as windows. Surely there is another solution -   

My version under MEDIA reports " HTML HEAD TITLE 401"  Anyone know why?

I cannot rebuild or rescan 

Last Update Updating database…

DLNA Database - RESCAN and Rebuild are “greyed out” and therefore cannot be selected.

I am not having issues in playing films from my media streamer and am able to access all folders - just wonderinng why the scanning apearing constant although drive is not trashing as far as I can hear

(Twonky rescans without a problem when files are added)

Any observations would be gratefully received.

Did you set an Admin Password in the Twonky GUI settings?   If so, that’s why.

If you password protect Twonky, the My Cloud’s GUI can’t get past the password.

Thank u - that worked! I had reset back to default though in order to cancel pswd

Hope this prob. is documented.
