Connect WD TV live in another local network

hi guys,

my issue is kind of strange

i have a WD TV LIVE that needs to be installed on a wall in the university and i need to connect it to my work computer

eventhough that it has a local ip addess but my computer cant discover it… any ideas?

Who knows what policies your network administrator has in place, but at a very minimum, if the WDTV and the PC are not on the same “Broadcast Domain,”  or the same IP Subnet, there is no way to make them work together without the involvement of your IT folks.
