How do I go about connecting the My Cloud Home Duo to a Synology NAS?
I have a lot of data to move off the drive, but the current setup is ridiculously slow. It never seems to get higher than 150KB/s. Currently its saying that it will take 8 minutes to copy 2MB.
The MyCloud Home Duo is connected (with the supplied cable) to a Nighthawk X4S D7800 (Firmware confirmed up to date)
Using the card provided, I was able to run the My Cloud Home steps and connect the drive to my Win 10 machine (According to Windows update, it is up to date).
The connection speed is pathetically slow. (Id be greatful for any suggestions on how to speed it up).
While searching I’ve found links to comparing the Home Duo and Synology, but there doesn’t seem to be any info on how to connect them so the Home Duo is available directly on the Synology.
What are the steps to connecting the MyCloud home duo to a DS1817 Synology Nas running the most recent DSM?
Any suggestions that would fix the embarrassing transfer speeds would also be appreciated.
