Compatibility with Sony home cinema system

Hi,
I own three WD external discs - My Passport Ultra 1 TB (WDBTYH0010BBA), My Passport Ultra 4 TB (WDBEZW0040BSL) and Elements 2TB (WDBU6Y0020BBK).
I also own a home cinema system Sony BDV-E6100 .
Just one of the discs - My Passport Ultra 1 TB (WDBTYH0010BBA) - works with the home cinema system without problems. The other two (My Passport Ultra 4 TB (WDBEZW0040BSL) and Elements 2TB (WDBU6Y0020BBK) won’t be detected. Just the LED light works. I suppose that means that the disc is supplied with energy from the cinema system but that’s it. Can you please tell me what to do so that all discs work with the cinema system?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Best regards
Robert

Hello,

What is the file format on the 1TB My Passport Ultra and are the same files
stored on the two other drives?

  1. 4 TB is Not Supported on the Sony BDV-E6100 … (Maximum Supported is 3 TB)

http://sony-eur-eu-en-web--eur.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/135634/~/what-are-the-maximum-and-minimum-sizes-of-usb-storage-devices-that-are

  1. The 2 TB most probably is formatted GPT (NTFS) Partition Style

If the 1 TB is formatted MBR (NTFS) Partition Style and works … then i would format the 2 TB to MBR (NTFS)

Note: Formatting Will Erase Data (but there are programs that can convert GPT > MBR without data loss)

  1. if the 1 TB is GPT … then i have no idea

Thank you very much for the information, seems the problem is with the MBR/GPT partition style. I will have to deal with it somehow:-)
