Chkdsk returns "Windows found problems with the file system"

hi,

i recently cloned my windows xp sp3 to a wd1002faex 1tb hdd successfully and everything is running fine (the drives been running for 2 weeks) except for an apparent chkdsk problem. wd diagnostic utility passed the extended and s.m.a.r.t. testing, but chkdsk repeatedly reports this problem when doing the full “restart” test and fix, nothing else. what should i do?

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

Your drive may be partitioned with FAT32. Redo the OS installation using NTFS. Cloning may not work properly if you change your drive size to a large one. Remember, Win XP needs at least 10MB unpartitioned space in your drive.
