@latheofheaven Hello. Please would you be able to send me the Windows 7 64-bit hotfix if you have it? Unfortunately the link I followed only has the one for Windows 8.
Error 0x80071ac3 – Volume is Dirty occurs when Windows fail to access and read a drive volume or data on an external storage media such as hard disk, thumb drive, or SD card, etc. The error indicates a severe problem with the storage drive, which can result in permanent data loss.
Below are few solutions you can try to fix:
- Unlock SD card
- Run CHKDSK scan
- Run File System Utility check
- Use error checking tool
- Edit Registry
- Disable ReadyBoost
- Update device’s driver
- Run SFC scan
Further, You can check out the below link for more causes & solutions to fix the issue:
Hope it helps!
Hi Abominog, do you still have it (that one for Win 7) somewhere…? I am having exactly the same problem you described, though with Win 7, the fix for which was removed from the Microsoft site. The Win 8 version which replaces it online does not work with Win 7. If you still have it somewhere (I couldn’t find it elsewhere online) it would really help… Cheers
