The original interface card of my MyBook Essential is faulty, it connects only in USB 1 and disconnects frequently, I still have slow access and with frequent usb disconnects .
The hard drive is full, with tens of thousands of file on it, some being very private .
I would glady proceed to a RMA if my files were not so private. I could back them up on another drive before proceeding to a RMA and then erasing the drive, but considering that the drive is full, that there is so many files, that the transfer rate is so slow and that i got very frequent usb disconnects, it would take me weeks of work to do so…
Hence, I am willing to void my warranty on this drive in exchange of a new interface card, would it be possible to send me a new one??
