I have 150-GB WD 1600BEV External USB Device, MDL WD 1600ME-01 3408A. S/N [REMOVED DUE TO PRIVACY POLICY]. R/N A7B. Being used on Win 7 PC. I have purchased a WD Elements 1TB, P/N WDBUZG0010 BBK - OB. S/N [REMOVED DUE TO PRIVACY POLICY]RUN. 1019G R/N C6B. Can I install this to replace my 150GB as an external back up facility? I would not uninstall the existing device until the new device, if suitable, was installed.

150GB My Passport Essential and 1TB WD Elements Portable, both are portable plug n play external USB hard drives. You can connect the USB cable, connected with the drive directly into your computer to get start with the external portable hard drive.
