Change meta source manager from themoviedb.org to another scraper

Hello folks,

as a new feature in the new firmware there is a setting in the main options menu of the hub to change the meta source manager.

Clicking these option the hub expects a xml file to change the main scraper themoviedb.org to another one.

So these brings me to the point…

I am not able to create such a xml by my own due to lack of experience.

I read a lot in the xbmc wiki about that but cant create a working one.

So please anyone of the cracks like Tinwarble, Joey, Firetix or DeVicious out there who are willing to create such a xml file for me.

My intention is to change from themoviedb.org to ofdb.de

This one is a german movie data base.

THX

On the live hub, i don’t know if we can add an external scraper . I’ve tried , but it is asking me for a folder containing the xml files…

but on thumbgen application you can generate xml files for the wdtv live hub

AND THERE’s also support for OFDb.be

@firetix

thats right and it works well with Thumbgen.

But…

with the new firmware the Hub supports the change of the scraper engine by its own native.

You are right. You have to create a new folder and put the new scraper xml in it.

Then you have to add this new xml file in the main menu to your metadata scraper source.

But i am not able to create the xml file with the data stored to use the new scraper source.

I studied the xbmc forum but it is to complicated for me…

Anyone can create these xml file for me with the german search engine?

Here are examples of the xmls you need to have to change the meta source:

@Tinwarble

THX for your help.

But still to complicated for me.

There might be to many expressions to change to get it working with ofdb.de

E.G.

output=“<url> http://api.themoviedb.org/2.1/Movie.search/$INFO[language]/xml/c014e6cf75cea3567bc035b5c9d2c5c6/\1</url>” dest=“3”>

Totally cryptical for me…

Is it possible to create a xml file to change the meta-source to a web site like this?  http://cinema.ptgate.pt/

Does anyone know if what Max_Filas asked is possible?
