Caviar Green (Advanced Format) can't be "aligned" for XP via USB?

Hi all,

Is it correct that Advanced Format drives (such as Caviar Green) can’t be “aligned” for XP via USB? (ie, with the drive in a USB enclosure.)

this is what I’ve found on WD’s web

Yes, I’ve seen that doc – and it starts off with:

  1. Install the drive directly into a PC using the SATA interface as a second drive.

So the answer is “no”?

It’s not possible to align Caviar Green / Advanced Format for XP via USB?
