Can't restore to new computer from My Passport Ultra

I think I was in a similar situation. I backed up an old computer, but when I tried to restore the data to my new computer “WD Discovery” indicated there was nothing restore.
I found this article from a few years back. Seems to work for me.

How were the files backed up? If you used SmartWare, you probably want to install it on the destination computer. It should allow you to choose destination folder(s). However, you should also be able to use Windows Explorer to look inside the “WD SmartWare.swstor” folder on the My Passport.
