Can't read drives from MyBook World book White light

Hi,
The WD external drive above stopped working a few years back, although I don’t remember what the condition was. I removed the drives thinking I would put them in a HDD case. I tried that and they powered up but I couldn’t read them. I now have a PR2100 and wonder if I can put them in that device and be able to read the old drives? Any other suggestions?
