Can't format WD Passport Drive in XP

I’m trying to format my WD Passport drive in XP, but don’t have any options in Disk Management when I right click. It can see the drive…but can’t format it, assign a drive letter, or see it in my computer.

I have no problems with my new Windows 7 pc - I can format and view in my computer.

You’re on the latest service pack of XP and have the proper drivers installed for the Passport?

It sounds like the problem is in XP. Like RoofingGuy asked is your XP up to date with SP3 and drivers?
