I tried to delete an entire backup folder from a My Cloud drive, however there were several individual files that said the file names were too long for the destination. Don’t know what that means. They do have ridiculously long names, but I don’t see any way to change the file names to something shorter, so don’t know how to delete the remaining stragglers. Appreciate suggestions.
Have you choosen one of those files and tried a right click on it, then Rename?
I have, rename is not an option offered.
What are you using to delete them? Windows explorer? WDSync? Something Else? There may be some ways to skin this cat.
Push comes to shove, we can log into it with ssh and delete it from the console.
