Can't connect the My Cloud with wd2go.com via chrome

The following may or may not help. It appears Chrome finally cut off support for one form of Java (NPAPI) as they indicated they would last year. Because the WD2Go site uses Java those who use Chrome may, potentially, no longer be able to access their WD My Cloud and supported other drives remotely. One can either use another web browser or can perform the following setting changes to Chrome. Note: you do so at your own risk.

Enabling NPAPI in Chrome Version 42 and later
As of Chrome Version 42, an additional configuration step is required to continue using NPAPI plugins.

  1. In your URL bar, enter: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
  2. Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.
  3. Click the Relaunch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.
