My new PC is up and running with Windows 10 and now I can’t access folders inside another folder in My Book. I have an entire music folder with individual folders inside. I can get to the individual folders but can’t open them to access the individual files.
willcka…since you can at see your internal drives music folders in Explorer that’s good. Many posters are not seeing drives or folders, especially those attached to USB ports.
- find your folder in Explorer, rt mouse click and select Properties/Security.
- here you will see Admin, maybe System and your PC name. Compare the Permissions. Highlight yours and Edit the check boxes to make similar to Admin…now if you cannot do this, you must not be the original Admin that set up your computer…that’s another issue.
Not sure if this is your problem, or it’s something completely different.
