Cannot login to Share, only to admin account

Using EX2 Ultra OS5 latest update
When I try to log in on my network MYCLOUDEX2ULTRA I can only login with the admin credentials. Also on a created mapped share I cannot log in with the specific user credentials.
Anyone?

Let me guess: you are using a windows pc :wink:

Window “credential manager” does not like having a single network resource with multiple sets of credentials. It just won’t let you use a second set of credentials for the same resource.

This is not a WD issue. Stupid; but that’s the way it works.

To “clear” the issue; go into credential manager and delete the references to both device name and up address. Next time you access; it will then ask for credentials again -

I see that I can only log-in with the admin account and not with the individual user accounts. Is that correct?
(btw when you delete the credentials you have to reboot the PC to clear the cache)

Not quite!

What I said is you have chose ONE. It could either a user OR the admin. The credential manager will remember the choice.

It will keep remembering, until you delete the entries in the credential manager. I don’t know if it takes effect immediately, or if you must reboot.
