Can you plug Hub into laptop using usb and drop data on it?

The reason I ask this is because iam new to networking ect and would find it easier to use usb lead from computer if possible.

Yes.

NO. The Hub’s USB is only for connecting external hard drives. The HUB has no SLAVE USB port.

It’s pretty easy to do with ethernet cord though, even if you’re inexperienced with network, it’s pretty straightforward.  Then you can move anything that way.
