I don’t have the network WD Player and was wondering if the current player I have can be made to access my network and access my files? Perhaps adding a USB device to it that can access the network? My only other option would be to get rid of this and buy the networked version. Just wondering if it can be done.
It can do either Ethernet or wireless. I have 2 and have one wired and one wireless. The wireless is N and works as well as the wired… cj
Yes, it can be done, however you need an “unofficial” firmware. Search the Internet for b-rad or zorander firmware and you 'll find out how it can be done.
