Can’t auto-backup iphone using USB anymore?

Hi, in august the auto-backup of a usb-device worked great. I backed up all my photos and videos from our vacation daily.

Updating to ios11, the WD disk is not recongnized anymore and it does not auto-backup using USB.

How do I solve this?
