I have a new MyCloud 2TB and am using Smartware to perform a continuous backup of my data. I am also using the cloud function of the drive. The ‘Smartware’ share on the drive is ‘public’ and is accessible to any user who remotely accesses the drive. I would like this share to be private for my login on the PC, but it appears that the Smartware software cannot do this. Anyone have a suggestion?
You can open up the Dashboard and turn Public Access off for that share. From SmartWare click on Settings>Set up Drive>Shares>SmartWare and turn Public Access off.
Give each user the amount of access you want them to have. If it is No Access then choose that.
