Can see videos and photos but not music

I can see videos and photos but not music why should that be?

I am accessing my windows 8.1 pc via windows shares. Should i be using media server? Not sure what this means?

Are your music files shared on your computer.

Try accessing the folder with the music in it by using the file tab on the player and connecting via network shares.
