I would like to specify a specific folder on the target drive to which my selected files will be written to. Is it possible to designate that location?

What software are you trying to use, i believe the Smartware will always backup tot he same location, meaning there is no way to choose a different solder or a specific location on the drive. If you have a network drive you can choose the share where the information goes, but not a specific folder.
