Can I remove the heatsink from my WD_BLACK SN750?

Hello community!

I bought a WD_BLACK SN750 for my HP OMEN 15 laptop and it came with a heatsink that I did not expect… the question is that the heatsink does not fit in my notebook.

My question is, can I remove the heatsink with the screws that come on the sides to be able to use it in my notebook without the heatsink or is it not recommended?
