Can I move My passport between a PC and a Mac?

Will I damage my Passport if I save documents on a PC and open them on a Mac?  Can I edit on the Mac?

If the drive is formatted NTFS for Windows then it will be read only on the Mac. Download and install NTFS-3G http://mac-free.com/download/NTFS-3G.html and it should work OK then.
